We let homes to students who are still packing
Himalayan Homes is a UK lettings agency built around one group of people: students arriving from Nepal. We manage every property ourselves, we let them bills-inclusive, and we start talking to you months before you land.
Why we work this way
Finding a room in the UK from Kathmandu is the wrong way round. Landlords want to meet you, referencing agencies want a UK guarantor and a UK bank account, and viewings assume you are already here. Students end up paying six months up front, or taking whatever they can find in the first week and moving again by Christmas.
So we do the part that does not work remotely. We hold the properties, we vet them, and we match students to rooms before they fly — then we meet them at the airport and hand over the keys the same day.
Every home on this site is managed by our own team. There is no third landlord in the middle to chase for a repair, and no separate agency taking a fee from you at signing.
What we promise
No agency fee to be on the list
Registering, telling us what you need and staying on the waiting list costs nothing. We are paid by the properties we manage, not by students looking for a room.
No UK guarantor demanded
We know a CAS letter from an offer letter, and we assess students on what they can actually show before arrival. A guarantor in the UK is not something we assume you have.
Bills included, one figure
Electricity, gas, water, waste and council tax are inside the rent on every let we manage. The number you agree is the number that leaves your account.
A receipt for everything
Rent and any charges go through your own portal, each payment receipted. You will need that paper trail for visa renewals, bank accounts and your own records.
How we are different from a listings site
We answer as people, not a portal
An enquiry reaches a person who calls you back, on WhatsApp if that is easier, at a time that works in Nepal Standard Time.
We meet you at arrivals
Optional airport pickup means the first person you meet in the UK is holding a board with your name on it, and the journey to your new address is already paid for.
We stay after you move in
The same team handles the tenancy, the repairs and the deposit at the end. You are not handed over to a management company you have never spoken to.
